The path to collecting a debt that is due but unpaid can vary depending on the source of the debt and the documents available.
We assess the legal nature of the debt based on contracts, invoices, promissory notes, bank records or other documents, and — where appropriate — carry out formal notice, enforcement proceedings, actions to annul or lift an objection, and debt-collection litigation.
If the debtor objects to the enforcement proceedings or legal action against their assets becomes necessary, we determine the next steps according to the specific circumstances of the case.
